Virginia Clark, age 83, of Mystic, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at the Centerville Nursing and Rehab Center.

Virginia was born on October 18, 1931 in Centerville, Iowa, the daughter of Martin and Lillian "Lillie" (Roby) Clemons. She was united in marriage to James C. Clark, Sr. on October 18, 1946 in Mystic, Iowa. From this union, five children were born, John, James, Janis, Debby, and Madge.

Virginia loved many things in life. In her younger years, she enjoyed crocheting and latch hooking. She also loved attending garage sales and auctions when her health permitted. Virginia collected porcelain dolls throughout her lifetime. She also enjoyed singing, especially country music and gospel. Most importantly, Virginia cherished time spent with family, friends and her cat Boots.

Virginia is survived by cat Boots; her children, John (Leota) Clark of Mystic, James Clark Jr. of Mystic, Janis Clark of Mystic, Debby (Leslie) Herr of Centerville, and Madge Clark of Mystic; a sister, Hattie Jones of Centerville; two grandchildren, Josh Clark of Concord, California, and Travis (Amanda) Clark of Moulton; nine great-grandchildren, Shelby, Breonna, Maliki, Jayden, and Drakona Clark all of Mystic, Haiden Clark of Moulton, and Kaitlyn, Eleanor, and Makala Clark of Seirra Vista, Arizona; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James on March 22, 1988; an infant grandson, Jack Allen Clark; an infant sister Leone Clemons; an infant brother John Clemons; sisters, Katherine (Kate) Peel, Sylvia Abbott, Lucille Cline, Opal Perry, Dorothy (Midge) Adler; brothers, Leroy (Bud) Clemons, Richard (Dick) Clemons, Arvel (Barve) Clemons, and Charles Clemons.

Graveside services will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, August 22, 2015 at the Dale Cemetery, north of Centerville, with Pastor Gerald Campbell officiating. Memorials have been established to the family of Virginia Clark and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory 1900 South 18th St. Centerville, Iowa 52544. Condolences may be shared online at Lange Funeral Home of Centerville has been entrusted with caring for the Clark family.
