Max L. Hall, age 93 of Centerville, Iowa passed away Monday, May 09, 2016 at the Golden Age Care Center in Centerville, Iowa.
He was born on January 12, 1923 in Cincinnati, Iowa, the son of Walter and Agnes (Burt) Hall. Max graduated from Cincinnati High School in 1940.
Max served his country faithfully in the United States Air Force during World War II. Following a twenty year career in the service, Max was honorably discharged on July 1, 1964 with the rank, Chief Master Sergeant. Following his military career, Max was gainfully employed for the next twenty years.
He was united in marriage to Bonnie Henderson on December 1, 1946 in Los Angeles, California. To this union, the couple were blessed with two children, Kim and Shirley.
Max is survived by his wife of sixty nine years, Bonnie Hall of Centerville, Iowa; two children, Kim (Dennis) Exline of Centerville, Iowa and Shirley (Dave) Miller of Pagosa Springs, Colorado; two grandchildren, Derik Exline and Rachel (Brad) Ryals; two great grandchildren, Ryker and Rigby Ryals; and a brother-in-law, Bucky (Mary) Henderson of Centerville, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Shirley Joan Hall.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM, Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville, Iowa with Pastor Kay Singley officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati, Iowa. A visitation will take place on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Lange Funeral Home in Centerville from 9-10 AM. Memorials have been established to the First Christian Church in Cincinnati, Iowa and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
