Deloris Mae Clark, age 77 of Albia, Iowa, formerly of Centerville, Iowa, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016 at her home.

She was born to Lloyd and Grace (Ramey) Pister on August 31, 1938 in Seymour, Iowa. Deloris attended the Seymour Schools.

In her earlier years, Deloris was employed for a brief period of time as a cook with a Corydon Nursing Home. She later managed an elderly apartment complex with her husband Jack in Knoxville, Iowa for fifteen years.

Deloris was united in marriage to Jack Clark on June 10, 1983 in Knoxville, Iowa. Last year the couple celebrated thirty two years of marriage.

Family was the driving force in Deloris' life. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed any opportunity to cook for them. Deloris and Jack also enjoyed camping at Lake Red Rock.

She is survived by her husband, Jack Clark of Albia, Iowa; three children, Debbie (Larry) Dustin of Albia, Iowa, Lisa (Don) Van Houten of Altoona, Iowa, and Jeff (Sandy) Holmes of Seymour, Iowa; two step-children, Bobby (Donna) Clark of Centerville, Iowa and Candy (Dave) Deen of St. Louis, Missouri; a sister, Jane Ann (Richard) Thomas of Centerville, Iowa; daughter in laws Lois Clark and Linda Holmes; sixteen grandchildren, Darcy, Nicholas, Shelby, Zachary, Chad, Brandi, Cody, Matt, Jamie, Samantha, Ashley, Brandon, Brooke, Brent, Nick, and Renae; and forty one great grandchildren.

Deloris was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Grace Pister; a son, Rick Holmes; a step-son, Rodney Clark; and five brothers.

Graveside services will be held at a later date in the Confidence Cemetery, Confidence, Iowa. Memorials have been established to HCI (formerly known as Hospice of Central Iowa) and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544. Condolences may be shared online at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville has been entrusted with caring for the family.
